Ladies Lunch

Ladies Lunch

We got a late start on Monday, I blame it on the awesomely good food we had on Sunday at Connie and Mark's house. Rima and I had spoken about possibly having a picnic in a park or going to explore Evergreen, CO. But, by the time Rima took a nap and I finished with my todo list we found ourselves looking at the clock and seeing 1:30pm stare back at us. Where had the day gone? We scurried around and got our "ish" together. The plan was to go to a park near Trader Joes and hang out there for a while and then do some necessary food shopping. Half way there we realized we were hungry.

If any of you have tried to make a quick decision with Rima (bless her soul) you know it's not a quick conversation. Rima, being a true libra, choices come with much contemplation. I, have learned or trained myself to make decisions quicker (it was no easy task). So while driving down highway 25 north, where to go to lunch became the topic of discussion. We landed on the Highlands in Denver. A super cute neighborhood bordering north of downtown Denver. I would almost compare it to Williamsburg Brooklyn, 6 years ago. Super cute area, tons of great shops and restaurants.

We ended up going to a place I had been to before, Avanti. A cool spot with two floors, outdoor seating and city/mountain views. We had a nice little ladies luncheon out on the patio, looking over downtown. We discussed a todo list for Tuesday, which included transplant and organ donation research.  Wednesday should be more of an informative and educational post on what we have learned so far. Post lunch we drove around the area for a little looking at the real-estate commenting on house colors. Yellow is not our favorite.
