It's hard to know where to start writing. I won't be able to get everything that has happened to us in one post since Rima got her transplant.

I'm really lucky that Rima and I get along so well. To be quite frank, I could have totally been screwed. I tell this to Rima often; that I'm lucky she is the way she is.

Not many of us can say we've had the same friends through all our stages in life, so far. There are a few lucky people who connect at a very young age and don't let time, distance, change or growth tear them away from each other.

Sometimes you don't always get to do what you want. Most people on a daily basis have to go through a rhythmically planned dance that usually repeats itself daily if not weekly;

Who do you lean on? Who do you talk to when you need help or advice? Who makes you laugh even when a dark cloud is over your head?

Self-congratulations and acknowledging one's own accomplishments I believe should be part of your daily routine.

It's hard to not think that the universe has a sick sense of humor. In my eyes currently today, the universe is a prankster with impeccable timing.

Time sure does fly by. Time is a strange point of perspective, even though I feel that time is going by quickly it also feels like it's crawling by in ways.

Okay let's talk about something very important, organ donation. Now how many of you are a registered organ donor? If you are, that's amazing and I love you.

It's really quite easy to fall into the "grass is greener on the other side" mentality. A Libra myself, astrology sites and books dictate that this is one of my signs weakest traits.

Perspective is a word that's been used a lot between Rima and I since we started this transplant process. It's especially been a key vocabulary word this past week.

Our new trend is only posting once a week or so. I wish we had more to post about, but until the weather gets nicer and allows more outdoor activities, or the transplant happens, this is the new norm.

They say there are five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. I think there are five stages of waiting for a transplant: shock, action, bargaining, anger, and acceptance.

We're still waiting for the call, shocking, I know... I would be lying if I said I was not getting antsy or annoyed. Anyone in this situation I'm sure has had similar feelings.

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and shoot out of bed because you think you either heard something or missed your alarm and are late? Well, that's been my life for the last week.

The comforting feeling of knowing that Rima is only a few feet away from me and not a thirty minute drive, is better than a fuzzy warm blanket. So far we are day two into her being home and so far so good.

Boy oh boy, this past week has been pretty busy for the two of us. We have some BIG news! Rima is home! After eleven and a half weeks in the hospital she was able to finally go home.
