Happy 2017 everyone!! Wow, what a crazy year 2016 was for the two of us. It's strange to think that this time last year we were days away from moving Rima out to Colorado. I drove Rima out west at the start of this past January.   

It's pretty strange for us to not be posting as much as we use to. Back in Colorado or when we first got to Minneapolis we posted almost everyday. We've pulled a 180 since then. 

The title of the post should tell you how Rima feels being in the hospital for over five and a half weeks now. 

Tonight marks four weeks in the hospital for Rima. She has been fever free for seven days, wooohoooo! 

Good news...knock on wood, Rima has been fever free for five days, today will be day number six with no fevers. This is GREAT news. 

Rima here, I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday with family and friends and hopefully no one had to work the ridiculous black Friday madness! 

Saturday was a bit of a roller coaster for us emotionally. Felicia, Rima's friend from Colorado had coordinated with her friend who own two huskies to come by and visit Rima at 11am Saturday morning.

It's raining as I write this post. I guess it's matching the mood Rima and I are both in. As of Tuesday this week it's official that we are not sure when Rima will be coming home. 

HI! We have not forgotten about all of you who keep up with our journey. The last week has been a lot for us, good and bad. So, updating all of you has taken a back seat.

Continued from All trick no treat. I don't know how I fell asleep but I did. My alarm went off at 8am and I awoke not realizing the precarious situation we were in.

Excuse us, but the saying "trick or treat" really hit home for us a few days ago. On October 31st kids all over America were ringing doorbells and spitting out those words automatically while eyeing strangers candy.

If you read the previous post then you will know that my bestie since kindergarten flew to Minneapolis to surprise me.

Last Monday was Rima's twenty-seventh year of life. Birthday day, which is my favorite kind of day. 

Fall's here, or has been for a while... It's my personal favorite time of year. I love the weather, the smells, foods, and activities.

Back in the first week of September the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Instagram page reached out to us on our Instagram page.

Tuesday Rima had a morning appointment at MNU to get her G-tube replaced.

Winter is coming...no but really it is. Soon we'll be house ridden due to post transplant and cold weather.

Since arriving over a week ago to Minneapolis Rima and I have been trying to keep busy.

It's official, Rima's on the transplant list to receive new lungs in Minneapolis! WOW! It's real we're here...she's listed...where's the gin?!?
