Apr 8 30 miles from Wyoming!

Dennis had Thursday off, so Rima, Dennis and I went on a day adventure to Fort Collins. The City of Fort Collins is about an hour north or so of Denver. A pretty boring drive if you ask me. On the right side of the car flat land (reminded us of driving through Nebraska or western Kansas) and on the left, mountains in the far distance. We got into the town right around lunch and grabbed a bite to eat in the old down town area. Full of shops, restaurants and bars.

We walked around for a little and did some window shopping. There was a really cool store, Nature's Own, full of rocks, fossils and crystals! After, we took a short driving tour of the other parts of the city. Did you know it was national Beer Day yesterday? Well, we didn't either, but lucky us we celebrated unknowingly by visiting one of the coolest breweries I've been to so far. Odell Brewing in Fort Collins. We hung out on the front patio sipping on some flights, people and dog watching was the number one activity. They sure love their Tevas out there!

We then headed into the mountains to see Horsetooth Reservoir. Nestled in the crevices of rolling red hills. We probably saw like 15 deer in peoples front yards just chillen. Rima pointed out a palomino horse randomly to Dennis and I (we laughed about that for like an hour). The things you learn while driving in a car with Rima. Turns out we were only 30 miles from Wyoming, If I had known this earlier I would have suggested going all the way. Next time I guess. We want to go camping at Yellowstone Park, before shit goes down. To give Rima ample opportunity to shout out random animal factoides in the car, one of her favorite pastimes.
